Welcome to the St. Margaret’s Bay Stewardship Association website. You’ve joined a group of Nova Scotians passionate about preserving, protecting and enhancing the Bay and its watershed. Over 40 water systems flow into the Bay. Some come all the way down from the Rawdon Hills near Mt. Uniacke in Hants County. Others, from the heights of the Aspotogan Peninsula in Lunenburg County. And still others through the pristine lakes and streams of the Chebucto Peninsula winding through the villages and hamlets which ring the Bay or through burgeoning growth centres of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
The SMBSA’s three areas of focus are Quality of Life, Sustainable Growth, and the Environment.
We are a young organization supported by volunteers around The Bay and anxious to reach out and hear from everyone living and working in the area. We are always looking for new members, so if you're interested, please join us. |
