Festivals & Events - South Shore, St. Margaret's Bay 

Our special events will interest and entertain you. Community events occur all year long, so you're bound to luck into several of these during your visit: craft shows, ceilidhs, art exhibits, dances, chowder festivals, concerts, fireworks, fairs, bazaars, variety shows, festivals, auctions, lobsterfests, carnivals, farmer's markets, quilt and rug shows, rowing races, suppers, parades, and more.Whatever your pleasure, just join in the fun!

Visitor Information Centre staff will be pleased to provide you with details of current activities and assist you in planning your visit to our wonderful destination area. Our Tantallon Visitor Services Centre is located on the Atlantic Superstore property on the corner of Hwy 3 and Route 333.

Please select a month for details and dates of local celebrations (coded in red) and other events within easy driving distance from the Bay (coded in black).

Hubbard's Farmers' Market
May 8 - Oct 30, 2010 , The Hubbards Barn

The Hubbard's Farmers' Market at The Hubbards Barn houses a variety of local farmers, bakers, artists, and artisans offering fresh produce, plants, jams/jellies, fresh seafood, homemade cheese, jewellery, and much more.  There is also live musical entertainment.

Location: The Hubbards Barn, 57 Hwy 3 in Hubbards

Time: Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm

Admission is FREE

Nova Scotia Fall Wine Festival

Saturday Night Dances at The Shore Club

For its 65th straight year, The Shore Club delivers top-notch live dance floor entertainment that has earned its reputation as “Nova Scotia’s Last Great Dance Hall.”

Featuring the best in classic and contemporary rock, blues, R&B, Reggae, Zydeco, Swing and Big Band, The Shore Club has served up one great party every summer Saturday night since 1946.

Time: Doors open at 9:30pm; Dancing is from 10:00pm-1:30am

Tickets are only available at the door
